We have an immediate Job opening for Branch Manager position with  one of our client Freight Forwarding Company at Chennai.. Skills: Freight Forwarding Sales & Operations Experience: 7 - 18 years Location - Chennai Job Description: 1. Responsible for sales growth in the branch/region and focus sector for the company. 2. Map the market and maintain a market intelligence of customers in the region. 3. Develop a prioritized target customer list and focus sales effort to penetrate and grow the target customers 4. Supervising the sales team in developing customized solutions 5. Responsible for negotiating, maintaining, and updating shipment booking. 6. Liaise with Shipping Lines, Overseas Counterparts, Customs Brokers, Transport Vendors, Port Authorities Other Vendors to ensure competitive pricing is sourced. 7. Maintain and develop excellent vendor relationship with an objective of most competitive pricing available. 8. Assisting vertical head in designing innovative and effective pricing solution 9. Monitor and report key performance parameters to ensure the department and branch is running as efficiently as possible. 10. Develop strong understanding of the business of Critical customers to aid customer retention. 11. Ensure effective communication with Commercial and Operations teams on any opportunities, challenges, and alternative options for improved pricing strategies. 12. Network with internal Business units on information sharing and identifying fresh opportunities for the division. 13. Credit management and recovery with execution of Credit agreement through a customer validation process. Recovery of customer DSO and overdue. Dispute management and resolution within 48 hours.
